Another layer of evidence for Jesus' resurrection are the Old Testament Scriptures written hundreds of years before Jesus predicting his death and resurrection. This message will focus on the phrase "according to the Scriptures." Certainly all of the Old Testament is pointing towards Jesus, but this message will focus exclusively on one passage that predicts not only Jesus' suffering on the cross, but also his resurrection from the dead. What we will see is that Jesus didn't show up on the scene randomly. Rather, he entered into a Jewish context ripe for Messianic fulfillment.
