The Old Covenant made a very personal mark on the many sons of Abraham. Circumcision may have been external, but it was meant to point to the internal reality of a circumcised heart. The New Covenant brings new symbols, but the reality remains. Faith makes its mark when we walk in the footsteps of faith.
