Clean and Non-clean, Binding and Non-Binding
• Series: Leviticus
Israelites could eat whatever parted the hoof and was cloven-footed and chewed the cud but not whatever chewed the cud and had a parted hoof. They could eat fish with scales and fins but not shellfish. They could eat grasshoppers but not beetles. What do these food laws mean and are they still binding for us today? In this message, we will examine the rationale behind some of these laws. We will also consider why we no longer follow some of the laws in Leviticus but still follow others.
