Are all people really accountable before God even if they've never heard the Gospel? What about the "innocent" person in Africa who is just doing the best that he can? Paul addresses this very issue in this text by stating that all people have God's laws written on their hearts and a conscience which tells them when they violate that law. Therefore, all people are held accountable for their sin and must receive the Gospel if they hope to be spared God's judgment.
