Paul begins the greatest declaration of the gospel by first declaring himself to be a gospel person — a servant, a sent-one, set apart and saved — all by, to, and for the gospel. And though Paul’s particular role in the story was unique, all of us share a similar call to be a people defined and driven by the gospel. As we commit ourselves to the study of this remarkable book, let us also commit ourselves to becoming gospel people on purpose.
